Newly acquired client Chris Heron was recommended by another client of ours. Chris required an identity and a website to promote himself as a leader in personal fitness having been featured on the cover of Men's Health magazine. We came to a decision to build the site in Flash as Chris wanted a website that would have a feel of flowing from one page to the next, Something which can be achieved this way and to make full use of his photographs.

Photographer Ade Asiko was used for Chris' fantastic images, who really captured the brief and delivered amazing results.

Too Cold To Venture Outside

Looks like we haven't seen the last of the snow for this year. Besides, being snowed in wasn't all bad, a good chance to go walking in search of photograph opportunities. One of which was sneaking up behind the cat for a shot of him gazing outside at the snow.

Recently we were asked to set up a brand look and photography for Tom Demac, an upcoming producer in minimal techno. Tom's take on music, along with discussing what he liked set us a clear idea of what look to achieve. With a tight budget behind us we took to the studios with our own cameras and came back with these shots

Tom Demac Brand Identity

Upcoming minimal producer Tom Demac came to us with a view to develop an identity and brand look to promote himself. We created this minimal yet clear identity which wpuld be used alongside photography adopting the same qualities.

.TV Web Visual and Illustration

An interesting brief given to us by our friends at RawJam. To design a .tv site purely aimed towards youths where several channels will be available for viewing. Even tho the brief was design only the job required a cunning plan to get the visuals as interesting and inviting as possible with the view of possibly changing the background from day to night depending on when the user logs on. The concept was based around the retro looking tv, which along with being a focal point it would be used as the frame for the main media being played. For purposes of this being a visual only generic images were used as placement rather than the actual shows and channels.

Whilst the ongoing work for Jen Baker is fresh here's another project just completed for her following on from her branding. Jenbaker.co.uk features a full screen streaming video of her on the landing page and simplicity on the other pages all fluidly built in Flash.

Anna Fôn Brand Identity and Stationary

Caernarfon based artist and photographer Anna Fôn required a brand and identity to promote her artistic cross-media work. Following a discussion over a cup of coffee discussing her requirements we went back to the studio and submitted a few ideas where this one was chosen. Business cards were also required which were designed to compliment Anna's work and printed on 400gsm board and matt laminated.

Following the recent branding we did for Jen Baker the next step was to raise awareness for her INSPIRATION! days. Along with using Jen's image and brand signature we created a range of promotional brochures featuring strong, natural and calming images. Each Inspire day was allocated its own colour. Just to add a twist of interest we printed them on 350gsm uncoated card and incorporated a flat coloured fold which would hold headings and branding letting the viewer view the full image behind.

Jen Baker Brand Identity
and Stationary

A newly acquired client, originally from the USA, Jen Baker is a pastor who is now based in London. Her branding followed her direct and personal approach to her work. After many discussions and brain storming we decided on presenting her brand as her own signature. Instantly personal and bold. As for the colours we decided on pink being the main colour for her stationary as she aims her work towards women (and her favorite colour is also pink, so why not). Keeping the design simple and bold we used foil block printing along with litho to achieve a ‘high quality’ collection using silver and pink foils for her logo. Moody Moo's Product Swing Tags

Following on from the success of the website, together with Moody Moo's we thought it would be a nice touch if they attached these swing tags onto their products when delivered. Printed on 250gsm matt they hold the branding along with a simple recipe to create your own real cupcakes

Foil Blocked Business Cards

Another chance to give one of our clients a high quality print job. Mimicking the style of the website we created back in January, we had these cards foiled blocked for holistic therapist Josie Moore at Wellbeing With Jo on thick recycled grainy stock, which makes each card wonderfully different with various grain patterns and specs of colour.

So Here's The Plan Brochure

As a follow up to the website, our London based client 'So Here's The Plan' required brochures to hand out to prospective clients. We kept the design and branding close to the website so people could associate the two and create a strong brand link. The publication has a rigid and established feel having been printed on an uncoated stock with a 250gsm cover and 160gsm inside and the strong use of photography we took back in the year.

Moody Moo's Foil Blocked Business Cards

Continuing with Moody Moo's quirky approach to branding we were asked to create some memorable business cards for them. Foil blocked on 540gsm 2 colour bonded card they have a nice, embossed, quality feel. Surprisingly we found out that the detailed illustration of Milly the Moody Moo could be replicated through this process. Something we were very happy with especially the end result where the print has been embossed into the card.

Rome

A designer armed with a camera means only one thing, continuous photographing, so here are a few images from a recent trip to Rome to share. The beauty and culture of the city is unbelievable, well worth experiencing first hand.

After creating a new logo and character design for our new Middlesbrough based client Moody Moo's, the next step was to create a strong, memorable website to showcase and sell their products, all of which are all carefully handmade in their country cottage. To make the site playful and interactive we illustrated and animated each using flash with embedded HTML text, we also photographed the products in-house. A Paypal shopping cart was also included in the site, making purchases simple.

Desert Postie Website,
Identity and Photography

For another London based client, branding, website and photography was created for Desert Postie, who specialise in selling hand made goat skin leather satchels and holdalls. They required a website to show the browser the quality and craftsmanship of the bags as well to make purchasing very easy. With a strict budget to consider we set up an easy Paypal shopping cart system, simple for the user and the seller to use with the added feature of being able to keep an eye on the stock and update blogs. Along with the design and build of the website the client needed photography for the bags, this was something we could easily offer as a service, so job done.

The Aaron Mokoena Foundation Website

The Aaron Mokoena Foundation has only just been launched which will help many children living out their ambition. "The inspiration for the Foundation is Aaron's desire to replicate and improve opportunities for children and young people to access high quality football experiences in South Africa". We were asked to deisgn and build a website that would explain and show Aaron's work with his foundation, keeping it simple yet visually interesting and informative, featuring functionality to have a blog linked up with his Twitter page so he can keep the site updated.

The Girly Show Business Cards

We seem to have had a rush recently for hot foil blocked business cards. It only took one of our clients to see what another was having and before we knew it they were all requesting for their stationary to be designed and printed using this technique, and who can blame them. The Girly Show, London, were the next clients to request the treatment. Again using 540gsm GF Smith candy pink card bonded onto black with pink and silver foil, these cards look stunning.

Raw Jam Business Cards

Our good friends at Raw Jam required some new business cards to promote their established identity. We came up with the idea of being able to link the backs of the business cards together using elements from their logo, a visually fun execution which works well, so as their staff numbers grow the cards can all be linked to create a snake effect.

Liverpool Legends Prize Draw Minisite

To support the delivery of programmes for young people in the UK and Grenada, The Jason Roberts Foundation in conjunction with The Liverpool Legends will host a Grenada Select XI vs Legends match on June 13th 2009 at the Grenada National Stadium. We were asked to design and build a simple mini site for The Jason Roberts Foundation website, to simply get people to sign up for this draw, which ends 31st May.

Loose Lips Sink Ships

We can't tell you much about this job, what its about, the client or the medium which it will be used on. All that we can tell you is that its a new exciting project thats on the go called First Play. We've been asked to create an identity and a series of photographs for which we decided to have the logo custom built which you can see in these photos here. Desert Postie Logo Ideas

A newly acquired client for us, Desert Postie is a company which specialises in the selling of goat skin leather satchels, handbags and weekend Holdalls. Their key target market are 18 to 35 year olds who are fashion conscious and practical, so we based our ideas around the vulture emblem and kept our logos stylised to suit that market. This is an exciting job which we couldn’t wait to show our ideas. Website and promotional material to come very soon.

Love Entertainment Business Cards

For their promotional showcase, London based event management company Love Entertainment required some high end business cards to wow their potential clients. Again, going with the foil blocking option on 540gsm GF Smith bonded card but this time using a reflective pink foil to replicate their logo, which we created a few moths ago. Another pleased client.

The Girly Show Website

"London's most requested dancers" required a new website to promote themselves. Having been in all kinds of music videos including Eric Prydz - Call On Me and dancing on tour with Take That they are already pretty established, but even so they understand how important a web presence is. Working to their brief of making it look 'fabulous' we came up with this fluid flash based site made to look like a showcase on stage.

It was about time we had some new cards designed and printed, and because a business card reflects your own company and standards, we thought we'd go all out on these with some really nice stock with 540gsm GF Smith bonded card and have both sides foil blocked. An effective finish with an embossed feel.

A new logo and character illustration for our new client Moody Moo's, based in Middlesbrough. They required a website to sell their lovely bespoke, decorative cupcakes that can be sent as special gifts, all carefully handmade, so our first call on this job was a gimmick, logo and character design and illustration. All will be revealed in a week or two when the website goes live. Good times.

Love Entertainment Website and Branding

Event organisers Love Entertainment have been "Organising some of the most stylish, glamorous and talked about parties in London" for quiet some time. They originally just asked for a new website but after a conversation with us they decided to go for the whole re-brand. We came up with the concept of basing the website around London's skyline to show that Love Entertainment brings the city to life, which according to their testimonials, they do with style.

So Here's The Plan Website
and Photography

Another job finished for our London based client, So Here's The Plan. This time it was a website design, build and photography. We set out some brand guidelines a few months ago with photography style and feel which worked very nicely when put to use. During this job we frantically searched high and low for the right items for our photoshoot, the 1970's telephone was the clincher which we found off ebay then spray painted red to get the right effect, all of which are being kept safely for future brochure jobs which would look stunning.

Even though its a flash built site we added a few hidden gems that detects the browser size and brings up the right elements while keeping the text as html so it would be found by search engines.

So Here's The Plan Business Cards

We believe print is a crucial part of design, sometimes they can be the design themselves. To stay in keeping with the detective style branding of 'So Here's The Plan' we had these business cards foil blocked with a flat colour on 540gsm cards. The white and black cards were bonded together to avoid printing with a heavy black ink, keeping the uncoated quality of the card. With the text foil blocked it gives us an authentic typewriter indented / embossed feel. We also cut one corner at an angle to replicate the logo, a simple touch that would make the card unique. One very happy client indeed.

Another happy client as we launch the new website for Manchester based holistic therapist Jo Moore. With this job we decided to experiment in a new way of web design (for us anyway). The site is built in a fluid form of flash, which means that the positioning of all elements are actionscripted and is deoendant on the size of the browser window, but also importantly keeping the body text dynamic.

Never Work With Animals

We needed to shoot a new image for the home page on our new re-jigged website, so what better to shoot than an actual striped dog. In all honesty it wasn't that bad working with the dog, and don't worry, we didn't really paint the dog. Here's a sample of how well the dog behaved in the studio (most of the time).

We were appointed to create a simple typographical logo to promote a holistic therapist based in Manchester. More to come on this project soon including stationary and a website.

Archive

A new night is starting in Liverpool from November called archive. We were asked to help design the identity and look for all promotional material. The night will let each DJ to have license to play the classics that inspired them, the music they created, and the music they aspire to. So by the sounds of that we knew it was a good one to get involved in.

Once again we got our hands dirty and dug around in the attic to see what audio equipment was lurking there. We shot the images ourselves and now have a whole 'archive' of images stored, which we will use for the upcoming flyers and booklets.

Nnnnnnice...

We came up with an identity and a flyer for a new deep house night called Nice. Naturally with a name like this we wanted to create something that was... well... errr... nice!
